The Masterplan is being developed to ensure a sustainable future for the Murrayshall Estate.

The hotel is striving to build a more resilient business that is able to thrive in a competitive post-Covid leisure and tourism market. There is a need for investment in the estate for diversification and innovation, to ensure that the hotel adapts to meet modern consumer demands and expectations, and to compete with alternative destinations.

The delivery of the enhancement of the existing accommodation, leisure and golf facilities at the hotel, new lodges, glamping pods and renewables will likely require some cross-subsidy development, potentially including some residential development in the estate.

The masterplan proposals will potentially include an extension to the hotel, the erection of self-catering holiday lodges, timeshare and fractional ownership accommodation, café, spa and leisure facilities; formation of camping grounds including erection of glamping pods; provision of outdoor pursuits/ sports grounds; relocation of existing green keeping sheds; formation of central delivery hub for deliveries and green keeping services; installation of photovoltaic sites; and cross-subsidising development, potentially including residential use;
with associated access, drainage and landscaping.

We are at an early stage in the design process, learning and listening from the community and local stakeholders’ views. We want to hear what you think, and this will then help to inform how we progress our ideas.

The aim of the proposal is to secure the long term sustainable future of the Estate and its positive impact on local tourism and the local economy, including employment and businesses. Delivery of a premium leisure-based destination as intended will draw tourism to the area on a local and national basis, complementing the range of activities and facilities available in Perth and the surrounding area.
